I assume Bush wanted to drive the price of oil up to insane
heights. At the current price, he's already helped save
over 2000 people in the last year due to decreased pollution,
and if prices stay this high for a while, he will save up to
12,000 (!) people every year from traffic!
I must be having trouble adding, because those numbers
seem greater than the number of people killed on 9/11.
Thanks to Bush! He's helping us! Of course, he could
have done this a few years ago with a gas tax, but then
the money would be wasted in Wa****ngton, instead of going
to our allies in Venezuela and Saudi Arabia to put another
coat of gold on their swimming pools.
