On Monday, Kansas plays NC State in the Mazda Tangerine Bowl at Florida
Citrus Bowl Stadium. Kansas is ecstatic to be playing in a bowl game once
more. Trying to revive a struggling program, second year coach Mark
Mangino
led the team to its best record since 1995, the last time Kansas played in
a
bowl game.
NC State just finished 4-4 in the ACC after losses to Wake Forest,
Georgia,
Maryland and Florida State. ACC Player of the Year QB Philip Rivers will
be
making his final appearance in his spectacular career. He completed 81
percent of his p***** for 4,016 yards, with 29 TDs and just 7
interceptions.
